Jewellery set with Geranium and Hyacinth

Jewellery set with Geranium and Hyacinth
This is a jewelery set with asymmetrical necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring. The beads are turquoise howlite. The turquoise colour of the howlite blends nicely with the pink and lilac of geranium and hyacinth cabochons. The nice vintage look was achieved through the use of bronze metal elements.
The bronze ring is adjustable in size, so almost anyone can wear them. The setting itself has nicely crafted antique style featuers. All you have to do is to glue a cabochon into the setting.
The asymmetric chain is put together easily. It takes about an hour to finish it. The chain consists of a double row of oval howlite beads which are fastened to the setting. The lace edge setting for the large cabochon is perfect for this design. Because you decide which eyes of the setting to unfold. Therefore we used to eyes at the bottom to mount the strands beads, and used to middle eye at the top for hanging the rolo chain. As a final step glue the cab into the setting. The setting should hang about halfway, to your collarbone.
For the earrings Art Nouveau style ear hooks were selected. A howlite bead connects the whole with the lace edge setting (with the glass cabochon). The main thing you want to watch, here is that you connect the eyes around the howlite bead such that the setting with the picture will point straight ahead.

Jewellery Set with Geranium and Chrysanthemum

Jewellery Set with Geranium and Chrysanthemum
This jewellery set consists of a short necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring. The cabochons with roses, geranium and chrysanthemum are blended with Art Nouveau elements in antique bronze.
For the chain I connected big bright pink freshwater pearl nuggets together using the bead&wire chain technique. I did not connect the links directly to each other, but added 4 mm open rings in between. This results in a chain which is much more flexible.
Next I attached the setting to the chain at two points. This will cause the setting to hang stable (and it will less likely turn). The whole is finished with a heart shaped toggle clasp.
The settings for the earrings are mounted directly on the ear hooks. The ear hooks I used have an open eye. You can bend it open, and attach the setting directly, there are no rings needed!
The ring is of a lace edge design. The cab is simply glued. This finishes your jewellery set.

Jewelry set with Primevere flower and Hellebore print

Jewelry set with primevere flower and Hellebore
This jewelry set consists of a broche, a pair of earrings and two different rings. The glass cabochons show an elegant bouquet of primeveres and hellebores.
The broche is a ready made product since the setting and the ornaments have already been fastened onto the pin. All you need to do is glue a pretty cab onto it.
The earrings were made with a set of ear studs with a space for a 5mm rhinestone. They have loops at the bottom, so you can attach a pendant or setting. In this example bronze settings with an antique style border were used to place the glass cabochons in, combined with a pair of peridot rhinestones in the ear studs.
Finally, two models of adjustable rings with lace edge settings were used to set the primevere cabochons in. Wear the small one to the office during the day, and switch to the larger version in the evening!

Earrings with bowknots and rhinestones

These earrings with acrylic rhinestones and metal bowknots are fully on trend and so easy to make.
Oorbellen met strik en puntsteentjes
These pearshaped rhinestones are light-weight (such a good thing for earrings), the silverfoiled back makes them sparkle, and they are available in a wide range of colours. Combined with the fun metal bowknots the combinations are endless.
What do you need to make these earrings
  • Flat nose pliers to close the prong settings
  • Round nose pliers to adjust the earwire
  • A pair of earwires, goldtone suits the brass settings well
  • Two prong settings with 1 loop for a pear rhinestone 18x13 mm
  • Two pear shaped rhinestones size 18x13 mm
  • Two metal bowknots

Additional tips for putting these earrings together
  • Take your time to get used to working with prong settings. Please refer to our article Making earrings with vintage rhinestones for a full description.
  • I've used earwires without a loophole. First you slide the bowknot on the wire, and then the finished setting. I squeezed the loop area slightly to prevent the pendants from sliding off too easily.

Flower earstuds with rhinestones

Aren't these cute? These flower earstuds just need a few 3 mm rhinestones to fill the petals. Because the rhinestones are really tiny, we used a headpin to apply the glue in the settings.
